A man was reported to police for "allegedly exposing himself near a kindergarten" in the central Auckland suburb of Epsom.
The 41-year-old was seen in the Gillies Avenue area at about 8.15am on Thursday.
He was arrested immediately after police reached the scene and is charged with obscenely exposing a person in public.
"This behaviour is appalling and has no place in the community," Inspector Rachel Dolheguy said.
"I would like to acknowledge the people in Epsom who quickly reported this matter to us so that we could respond and deal with the situation."
