Tauranga police have launched a homicide investigation after a body was found.
They were called at 8.45am on Sunday to a walkway in Gate Pa, near George Street, after the discovery of a dead man.
"Currently one person is assisting with our enquiries," police said in a release.
Anyone with information was urged to call 105 and cite the reference number P060196188, or call Crime Stoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
