Dame Lois Muir is a netball legend.

She was a star defender for the Silver Ferns from 1960 to 1963 before going on to become one of the team's most successful coaches.

Lois led the team to victory at both the 1979 and 1987 Netball World Champs before stepping down. She was still coaching in Otago as recently as 2005.

Lois Muir was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire for services to netball in 1984 and was designated a Dame Companion in 2009. Lois Muir joined Jesse Mulligan in February 2023 to tell him how netball came into her life.
