Hayden Wilde has won silver in the men's triathlon, claiming New Zealand's second medal of the Olympic Games.

It was a thrilling race, with Wilde leading for much of the final run leg before being pipped with only about 200m remaining.

He and New Zealand's other triathletes celebrated at New Zealand House in the aftermath, as did the triumphant Black Ferns Sevens team.
