Emma Twigg takes rowing silver as athletics starts on struggle street

Emma Twigg will bring home a silver medal from the Paris Olympics after a tense final in the women's single sculls.

The 37-year-old was the defending Olympic champion, but was well beaten by her Dutch counterpart in the final.

At the athletics, things didn't go according to plan for sprinter Zoe Hobbs, knocked out in the semifinals of the 100m.

And in the shot put, Jacko Gill had a creditable 6th, but Tom Walsh pulled out with an injury,
