The Aotearoa History Show is back with 14 new episodes diving deep into some of the key issues, events and characters that helped shaped our country. Check out the trailer for a glimpse of the new animation.
In season one we took you through New Zealand's history from shifting tectonic plates to late 20th century politics. In season two we will go deeper into specific topics covering many of the nooks and crannies of our nation's story. From the impact of rabbits on our economy and environment to how being a teenager has changed over the decades, and from the first 500 years of Māori culture to the wild, transformative days of the gold rushes.
William Ray and Māni Dunlop host the series, made in conjunction with the Ministry of Education.
The first seven episodes of season two will appear every Monday from May 2, with the remaining seven out in term three. Watch, learn, discuss and debate. These are our stories.
