Three critical after breathing in unknown substance

Three people are at Auckland Hospital in a critical condition after appearing to have reacted to inhaling an unknown sustance.

Ambulances were called at 8.30am to the base of the Sky Tower on Federal Street to three people in distress.

Intensive care paramedics were sent, and three people were taken to hospital in a critical condition.

A police spokesperson said it seemed the three had taken an unknown substance and suffered a medical event shortly after.
