Auckland school locked down after reports of gunfire

A primary school on east Auckland was put in lockdown on Wednesday morning while police attended a firearms incident.

Police were called to a house in Coates Cres in Panmure, where a gun was allegedly discharged about 9.20am.

Tāmaki Primary School was placed into lockdown as a precaution, a police spokesperson said, which was later lifted.

No one was injured and police are investigating.
