Kate Lineham

Kate is a singer and saxophonist who is firmly embedded in NZ’s classical and music theatre scenes. She completed her Bachelor of Music (Performance) at Victoria University of Wellington (perf) before traveling to Manchester for post graduate study in vocal performance at the Royal Northern College of Music. She has performed with NZSO, Stroma, Opera NZ, Orchestra Wellington, APO, CSO, Chamber Music NZ, Voices NZ, Baroque voices, Education in Schools programme, Saxcess, The RNZAF Band, Wellington Youth Orchestra, the National Youth Choir and Tudor Consort. She particularly loves singing Puccini and Mozart.
Kate’s professional music theatre work included lead roles which toured NZ, Australia, Japan and the UK. She is also an experienced music teacher and ensemble coach across genres of classical, music theatre and jazz.
Kate Lineham joined RNZ Concert as a casual presenter in the early 2000s
