The Big Sing 2019
The Big Sing is the national Secondary Schools' Choral Festival and the Finale is the culmination of months of rehearsing and planning for all involved.
This time it’s Dunedin’s turn to take to the stage and host 24 choirs at the Dunedin Town Hall for three intense days of rehearsals, recitals, massed choir singing and adjudication. The Finale 24 have been selected after weeks of regional events around the country.
The Adjudicators will be Tim Sharp, Executive Director of the American Choral Directors Association, UK-based New Zealand opera singer Madeleine Pierard, James Tibbles, Associate Professor at the University of Auckland’s School of Music, and Paulette Tamati-Elliffe (Auahi Kore award). The Gala Concert at TBS Finale will be compèred by former member of the New Zealand Youth Choir, Hilary Barry.
The The Big Sing Finale is managed by the New Zealand Choral Federation.
