It was night time in the big city when a dossier arrived at Blue Smoke HQ. It contained about 150 names, and 150 song titles. It was a list of Bob Dylan songs interpreted by New Zealanders, compiled by local Dylan scholar Bill Hester.
Nick Bollinger, who also received the dossier, turned it into a column for AudioCulture: Dylan Down Under. And a sequel: Dylan Down Under Revisited. Nick is Chris Bourke's guest on this edition of Blue Smoke to talk about New Zealand musicians' response to Bob Dylan.
Written, presented, and produced by Chris Bourke; engineered by William Saunders.
