New Zealand composer David Hamilton talks with Christine Argyle, to mark his 60th birthday.
He has been particularly prolific in choral composition, and his pieces continue to dominate the New Zealand art song compositions at the 'Big Sing' festivals all around the country each year. Some composers might only want to write for advanced adult choirs, at a more esoteric level, but David Hamilton has devoted a great deal of his output to school and community choirs of mixed ability.
