In her fantastic new album, 'The Eye is the First Circle', Australian bandleader Vanessa Perica draws on the ups and downs of the last few years- including climate change and the Black Summer Victorian bushfires, a holiday in Gippsland, and the passing of her beloved cat. The result is an emotionally charged set, which features some of Australia's top jazz talent.
