Wellingtonian Dave Wilson's new album Ephemeral deals with the nature and shape of relationships: those that uplift, those that dissipate, and those that require extra work. Dave's band is comprised of jazz quintet and string quartet, and the instruments work together as an ensemble and separately as improvisers, creating a new and intricate sound.
Also this hour: Lucien Johnson's 'Awa' from Wax Wane, and Austrian bass player Gina Schwarz' band Pannonica plays her tune 'Toronto'.
