Bella Hristova & Michael Houstoun play Beethoven
The second of three programmes in which Bella Hristova and Michael Houstoun play the complete sonatas for violin and piano by Beethoven.
Bulgarian violinist, Bella Hristova won the Michael Hill International Violin Competition in 2007 and the following year, as part of her prize, she toured New Zealand with Michael Houstoun in a series of concerts for Chamber Music New Zealand.
This new tour then marks a nine year reunion between the two and was born of their mutual passion for Beethoven and the realisation that they enjoyed a remarkable shared vision of this music.
Hristova and Houstoun performed the ten Beethoven Violin Sonatas at three concerts in two days at Auckland Town Hall in September 2017.
