Thomas Adès plays piano music by Janáček
One of the most outstanding contemporary composers, Thomas Adès, from England, is also an excellent pianist and conductor. The New York Times in 2010 said: “He gave a concert on his own terms, choosing unusual and seldom-performed pieces”. Among these pieces, Janáček’s 'On an Overgrown Path', the critics highlighted “the elusive charm of music through a sensitive and beautifully veiled interpretation”.
