Although Astor Piazzolla was keen on shark-fishing, 'Escualo' (shark) was dedicated to Fernando Suarez-Paz, the amazing violinist from Piazzolla's second and last quintet line-up.
The expressive sound and style created with this particular line-up of musicians is recognised as being the true voice of the composer and the period of his greatest writing.
