The NZSO and guests performed to sold-out concert hall with a live broadcast and livestream video from the Michael Fowler Centre in Wellington.
Ngū Kīoro… Harikoa Ake celebrated the enormous effort New Zealanders made to protect the vulnerable and eliminate COVID-19.
Two-thousand concert-goers and many more on the radio and online heard the orchestra’s triumphant return to to the concert stage, one of the first around the world. The programme brought together music from European and Maori traditions, contemporary and traditional in a celebration of New Zealand music-making.
