Yet another collaboration from the incredibly fruitful partnership of Ross Harris and the writer Vincent O'Sullivan – the tenth between them in fact.

The composer writes that his 6th Symphony: "was inspired by a letter written by an Iranian woman to her mother just before she was hung for murdering the man who raped her. Vincent O’Sullivan added three further poems on the subject of love and loss between mother and daughter. While the work is continuous it is divided into sections with the four songs separated by orchestral interludes."
