Have mercy on us Lord, have mercy on us
In this piece Thomas Tallis (1505-1585) writes two different canons at the same time - the obvious canon at the octave between the two soprano parts, and then a canon between the four lowest voices at four different speeds….only one of the seven parts is entirely free.
