The King's Singers explore the myriad ways that nations and cultures use music and song to unite them - music from all over the globe: USA, Estonia, Georgia, Scotland, Renaissance England, South Africa, and Aotearoa.

The King’s Singers was formed way back in 1968 by a group of six students at King’s College Cambridge. That makes them the OGs if you like of the English a cappella scene. The membership has changed many, many times since then and the current lineup consists of countertenors Edward Button and Patrick Dunachie, tenor Julian Gregory, baritones Christopher Bruerton and Nick Ashby, and bass Jonathan Howard.
They’ve visited and toured New Zealand reasonably regularly over the years bringing us the best of what the world has to offer in the way of small vocal ensembles.
This concert was presented by Auckland Arts Festival, Te Ahurei Toi o Tāmaki.
