William takes the opportunity of the final programme in the current series to reminisce a little on his 36-year career hosting New Horizons.
Treats include music by Ry Cooder, Anne Sofie Von Otter, Quatuor Ébène, Randy Newman, and Captain Beefheart. He includes a couple of special extracts from previous programmes, in which he talks to Chris Knox and Nathan Haines.
But it's not all backward looking ... he also looks around at and forward to releases by Andrew Keoghan, Anika Moa and Lawrence Arabia.
