Nicholas Isherwood - The Electric Voice
The inspiring American bass-baritone Nicholas Isherwood returns to New Zealand for a concert (Sat 13 Aug, Adam Concert Room, Wellington) featuring his speciality - the fusion of voice and technology. The pre-eminent singer has worked closely with such luminaries as John Cage, George Crumb, Olivier Messiaen, and Karlheinz Stockhausen, with whom he collaborated for 23 years.

Tapioca Dragon
The crunch-improv duo of Andy Wright and Mark Williams (with guest appearances from Paul Timings) has released a self-titled debut release on the Burning Log label. It's made up of excerpts from studio recordings made in Newtown, Wellington between 2012-15. To mark the release Tapioca Dragon are playing at the Pyramid Club in Wellington on Friday 12 August along with Birchville Cat Motel.
