What does it take to get into one of the most prestigious music institutions in world?
Salina Fisher has set her sights on studying a Master of Music in composition in New York and has been offered scholarships to Manhattan School of Music, The Juilliard School, Peabody Institute and Stony Brook University.
The process of applying and auditioning is extremely demanding, requiring about a year to plan and prepare. During the process Salina sat numerous exams; met one of her idols, the composer John Corigliano; wrote a piece in two nights; and found an inspiring female composer to study with.
