John Young (composer), Franco Bianchini (narrator), Giosue Carducci (poet).

John Young is an electroacoustic  composer born 4 March 1962 in Christchurch, and currently living in Leicester, UK.

The Duomo in the centre of Forlì was bombed in 1944. John Young recorded its bell to make this feature about his father Alex who describes seeing the town bombed.

At the Strocchi family farm at Malmissole (just outside Forlì) in summer 1944 (the New Zealanders arrived in November). John Young's mother Cecilia, aged 19, on the right and her sister Imelde on the left. His grandfather is looking back from under the tree sitting next to Paolo Strocchi.
