After a very successful launch in 2021, the Dunedin Concerto Competition is back again this year with preliminary rounds taking place in March and the final at the end of May.
The Competition gives three young musicians from Otago and Southland the opportunity to play with an orchestra on stage, and there’s a tempting range of monetary prizes on offer as well.
Patron Bruce Hodgson, whose HTowers Charitable Trust funds the competition, talks with Bryan Crump about how it came into being and how the competition can help foster young musicians in the region.
