"We really want to make singing available, especially group singing," says Kate, who's the overall Musical Director for the All Together Now group of choirs (there are currently five in Auckland and one in Taupo).

"People think they can't sing... They say 'Oh, you wouldn't want me in your choir'. But actually, that's exactly the kind of choir we run - for people who think they can't sing. Or thought they couldn't sing, and then they come to us, we teach skills... we try to get quite a high standard of music-making going... to create something artistic together with people."
