It's 350 years since the death of English composer Pelham Humphrey at age 27.
Researcher, writer and musician Corrina Connor talks with RNZ Concert's David Morriss about why he should be remembered, and his contribution to English ecclesiastical music.
Pelham Humfrey was the topic of Corrina's thesis for an MPhil in Music (performance, musicology) at Oxford University, and she recently contributed booklet notes for a new recording of Humfrey's sacred music.
