Former Cantabrian soprano Amina Edris is doing very well at San Francisco Opera. She’s in the second year of the young artist Adler programme and will appear in supporting roles in Verdi’s La Traviata and Staruss’ Elektra this year. She explains what the move to San Francisco has meant for her confidence, what it’s like being married to another opera singer and how her ability to speak French has given her a decided advantage.
