It’s that time of year again, when some of the best rising stars compete for the National Concerto Competition.
The three finalists are Aucklander Modi Deng, and Cantabrians Lixin Zhang and Muse Ye.

They will perform their concertos with the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Benjamin Northey.
All three will perform piano concertos at the Aurorua Centre at Burnside High School, starting at 7.30 on Saturday 3 March.
