British composer Paul Mealor is in Auckland this week working with the Auckland Youth Choir leading up to their performance of his Symphony No1. 'Passiontide' in Holy Trinity Cathedral on Saturday.
He will also give a lecture at St Johns College on music and the church while he is here.

Paul reached a global audience when he composed the anthem for the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton
He also had considerable success with his piece for The Military Wives Choir and Gareth Malone which sold so well that he was voted the nation’s favorite living composer in 2012 in Classic FM’s poll .
