Midday
Another confirmed redundancy at the University of Auckland’s School of Music, why conductor Riccardo Muti stopped the Chicago Symphony Orchestra mid-performance and we continue to celebrate influential music teachers – today we feature piano pedagogue Rae de Lisle.
1pm Peter Walls’ diverse musical involvement

Wellington choir Nota Bene is performing this luminous work, and music by 17th Century Englishman Henry Purcell, in its next concert. Upbeat talks with conductor Peter Walls.
2pm
We continue our series of suites of the day. Today it’s Grieg’s Holberg Suite, performed by the Bergen Phil under conductor Ole Kristian Ruud.
