Germany has declared 2018 ‘The Year of the Cello’. So we thought we’d join in the celebrations this week on Upbeat by playing some of the best cello repertoire. Today it’s a stunning performance of Elgar’s Cello Concerto by cellist Alisa Weilerstein and the Berlin State Orchestra.
You can listen to a selection of RNZ recordings featuring the cello on our Music Alive Collections webpage.
