Roger Wilson is very well known in the New Zealand opera scene. The veteran baritone celebrated 50 years on the stage earlier this month. Roger’s been described as one of this country’s most versatile and experienced resident singers, and it’s been an extraordinarily varied career. He’s been able to sing both baritone and bass roles in opera, concert repertoire and song recitals, and has a huge repertoire ranging from Monteverdi through to Kurt Weill.
