Opera might not be the first thing that comes to mind if you’re thinking of New Zealand’s top choir, Voices NZ, but that's the world they head to for their three-centre tour Voices Love Opera. The concert's described as a 'fun-fuelled romp of love songs and tear-jerking chorus numbers', and directed by award-winning opera and theatre director Jacqueline Coates.

Morag Atchison usually sings alto in Voices NZ, but in these concerts she's performing as soprano soloist. As well as being a member of the choir, she's also a highly regarded voice teacher at the University of Auckland, and vocal tutor of the NZ Youth Choir.

Morag talks with David Morriss about Voices Love Opera, which she calls "a choral concert of operatic proportions".
