Jeremy Mayall is a composer, sound artist and CEO of Creative Waikato.
He's also the creative co-ordinator for the NZSO’s upcoming collaboration with Te Reo metal band Alien Weaponry. Fifteen of the band's songs have been arranged especially for the two concerts by a team of seven orchestral arrangers, and there are also two new pieces of music Jeremy Mayall has been involved in creating which serve as a transition between parts of the concert.
Jeremy spoke with Upbeat about how you go about combining heavy metal with a symphony orchestra, and about some of the other projects he's involved with at the moment.
