It was World Sight Day on 11 October, and we're marking the occasion in this week's Global Sounds with music from Blind Note. This is an initiative between Brussels arts organisation Musiek Publique and Light for the World, a European association of NGOs committed to saving eyesight in underprivileged parts of the world.

Six Belgian-resident musicians from different countries and traditions have joined forces to give concerts in support of the project. Nothing unusual there... except that the concerts are given in total darkness! So close the curtains, switch off the lights and join us (Musiek Publique)
