Set on a South Pacific island during World War II, love blooms between a young American nurse and a secretive Frenchman who's being courted for a dangerous military mission, but one of the main themes of the show is the underlying racial prejudice. After successful seasons in Melbourne and Sydney, South Pacific opens next week in Brisbane (RNZ)
