A retired medical technician is the new common roll member in Niue's Legislative Assembly after a by-election at the weekend.
Krypton Okesene from the village of Tuapa won the seat following the sudden death of Hunukitama Hunuki in July.
Six candidates contested the seat.
Mr Okesene was 55 votes ahead of his nearest rival, Lofa Rex, the wife of the sitting MP Robert Rex Jnr.
The former director of education, Kupa Magatongia, came third.
