People in the Cook Islands will receive a two-page document relating to the referendum question to be asked on the term of parliament.
The referendum will be held at the same time as the September the 7th general election.
The chief registrar of electors, Terry Hagan, says the referendum document will have Constitution amendment No 27 bill printed on one side and the voting paper and instructions on the other.
The Constitution Amendment Bill proposes that the term of Parliament be reduced from five years to four years.
People will be asked to indicate whether they agree with the Constitution Amendment Bill.
With just under a month to go before the elections, the total number of voters in the Cook Islands now stands at 9862.
