Samoa's cabinet has suspended a senior health official, following a Public Service Commission inquiry into fraud.
The Chief Executive Officer for the Ministry of Health, Taulealeausumai Eti Enosa, was suspended on full pay yesterday by the head of state, Malietoa Tanumafili the second.
This followed a Public Service Commission inquiry into the affairs of senior health personnel, after the Ministry of Finance released a special fraud investigation report.
The suspension is pending the results of ongoing investigations, and gives Taulealeausumai Eti Enosa time to respond to the allegations against him.
