Inter Island Airways officially launched its Manu'a service on Friday, just 24 hours after the US Federal Aviation Administration granted the carrier its Air Carrier Certificate to conduct operations in American Samoa.
An airline spokesman said there were no flights over the weekend but services resumed on Monday.
The Manu'a flights are on an on-demand basis with reservations carried out by the airline's subsidiary Inter Island Vacation, based at the Pago Pago International Airport.
The airline plans to file soon with Samoan authorities, landing rights at Faleolo International Airport in Samoa, now that the carrier has already carried out four test flights to Apia.
