The French Polynesian No Oe E Te Nunaa Party has nominated two candidates for the election of a new French assembly in June.
They are Nicole Bouteau and Tamatoa Doom who will stand in the two electorates in French Polynesia.
Mrs Bouteau is allowed to run although a French supreme court ruling in October disqualified her for a year from standing in a local election.
She was found guilty of an election spending irregularity and lost her seat in the French Polynesian assembly.
In 2004, Mrs Bouteau stood as a candidate for a French overseas seat in the European parliament.
