The Governor-General of New Zealand, Anand Satyanand, will make his first official visit to the Cook Islands next week.
He will arrive in Rarotonga on Wednesday and leave again on saturday.
Mr Satyanand is due to meet the Cook Islands Queen's Representative, Sir Frederick Goodwin, and the Prime Minister, Jim Marurai.
Earlier this year, he visited Niue and Tokelau.
