The former chief executive officer of Airports Fiji Limited has been charged with 22 counts of abuse of office and 22 counts of false pretense by the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption or FICAC.
The Fiji Times says Ratu Sakiusa Tuisolia pleaded not guilty to all 44 counts which amounted to an estimated 19,683 US dollars in the Suva court.
He was bailed on two of the four conditions set out by FICAC.
Magistrate Josaia Waqavolavola discarded two of the four conditions by FICAC which were that he surrender his passport and report to the nearest police station every fortnight.
Instead, Ratu Sakiusa has been ordered not to interfere with witnesses and must provide a surety to the tune of 656 US dollars by 3pm today given the lateness of the hour that court adjourned last night.
The case will be called again on March 27.
