Opponents of driving on the left in Samoa confident strike motion will fail

4:15 pm on 4 April 2008

The leaders for the group of people in Samoa who are against the government proposal to drive on the left hand side of the road, are calling for a strong showing of public support in another protest march on Parliament.

The march is planned for April 14th when the road traffic bill goes back to the house for further debate and its final reading.

Meanwhile, the leader of People Against Switching Sides, or PASS, Tole'afoa Solomona To'ailoa, says they are confident a strike out motion by the Attorney General, Aumua Ming Leung Wai, against their legal action opposing the change will fail and that the case will proceed.
