A former member of the Solomon Islands parliament and minister, George Luialamo, died at the weekend.
The Solomon Islands Broadcasting Corporation says Mr Luialamo was admitted to the National Referral Hospital last Wednesday after a minor stroke and passed away on Sunday.
Mr Luialamo was first elected in 1980 to represent West Kwaio in Malaita Province.
