A US Air Force F-16 Falcon fighter aircraft has rolled off the runway after an emergency landing at Saipan International Airport in the Northern Marianas.
According to a release from Andersen Air Force Base in Guam, the pilot has no injuries.
It was earlier reported that the aircraft had crashed.
The jet fighter, assigned to Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska, was conducting a training mission in support of Cope North 2012.
The exact cause of the emergency is under investigation.
There is no reported damage to the airfield and the damage to the aircraft is unknown.
Our correspondent says flights to the Saipan airport have been cancelled until further notice.
