The Oceania Football Confederation under 20 women's championship will start today in Auckland with one of the four teams competing in the round robin competition earning the right to feature at the FIFA Under 20 women's world cup in August in Japan.
Today New Caledonia will face Samoa and New Zealand will meet Papua New Guinea.
Yesterday the OFC under17 women's chamionship began, again with a world cup spot beckoning, with New Zealand swamping Cook Islands 7 nil and PNG edging New Caledonia one nil.
