The Fiji police have confirmed they are investigating the death of a Lautoka mill worker, Samuela Sigatokacake.
The Fiji Sugar and General Worker's Union earlier called for a thorough investigation into an industrial accident at the Lautoka mill that led to his death.
Mr Sigatokacake suffered burns to 60 percent of his body when part of a vessel containing hot liquid collapsed last month.
The general secretary of the union, Felix Anthony, says the police commissioner should act without delay.
